Glass Tiles, decorated in full colors

The following observations are only suggestions on what can be done with our glass tiles. This is not a comprehensive list and is offered in the spirit of making full-colored, custom-decorated, glass tiles and glass murals and their use, less of a mystery.

We hope that they will provide some ideas for your projects. We welcome any suggestions and additions to this list so that other visitors will also find assistance with their full-color, custom-decorated, glass tiles and glass mural projects.

Kitchen Back Splashes
 

Our glass tiles can be used as Kitchen Back Splashes in a very new and exciting way:

• Since all our glass tiles are decorated in the back, the full-color decoration is completely protected from any mechanical surface abrasion and the glass tiles can very easily be cleaned without affecting the decoration.
• Our glass tiles have either a white or a frosted (translucent) backing and come in these three sizes: 4-¼" x 4-¼", 6" x 6", or 6" x 8". This offers a great selection of sizes not only of individual tiles but also permits for very comprehensive and elaborate layouts of kitchen back splashes and entire wall murals. The frosted tile backing permits the creation of a translucent appearance of the entire tile decoration.
• Our glass tiles can be "glued" together either along their edges or their back by using such adhesives as transparent silicone or transparent glues like liquid nails.
• A kitchen back splash created with our glass tiles, for example, does not only reflect natural light but can also be lit not only from the front but also from the sides, or back of the glass tiles. If done right, lit glass tiles will produce a great visual effect that will enhance any environment so decorated.
• The glass tiles can be mounted directly to an appropriately prepared wall or mounted on a removable unit/panel for installation as one piece (for multi-tile and mural decorations).
• Our tiles can be mounted over regular glass building blocks (exterior walls) to be lit by natural outside sun light from "behind"
• You could also mount our glass tiles onto a reflective foil so as to maximize the light diffusion from your source of light. Or use Plexiglas or acrylic sheets if transparency is desired.
• For lighting the back splash, you might want to consider these light sources:
  - low volt/watt rope light;
  - fiber optics;
  - LED strips; and, of course
  - natural sun light.
• A sample mock-up should permit you to experiment with the many possibilities our full-color, custom-decorated glass tiles offer to arrive at a custom kitchen back splash that will create "Ahs" and "Ohs" from any onlooker.
